Did you know that there is enough food to go around the whole world? That's what I learned after I did the research. The problem is that there isn't enough money for all the people in the world. And with the population of people growing, it's becoming more and more difficult to get money. Another reason is that people are becoming very selfish. Instead of giving food or maybe even money, they spend all their money on the things that are useless and extra things. If people were more generous, then maybe there wouldn't be such a thing as hunger.
Instead of refusing to donate food and money, be generous and give some of that to the poor. They need it more than you. When you donate whatever you did, you will feel like you have accomplished a good thing and it will feel very good.
You know people are not actually selfish. Just because they have a lot of food it doesn't mean they are. Why are some people poor. Well they should have studied harder, choose a steady job, and made wise choices along their journey in life.

I did a little research and found out that there were ~ 925 million hungry people in the world in 2010.
