Changing Our Light Bulbs- Erinn Chang Entry #2

"Were you successful in convincing people to make a change in their lives in regards to your project? Why do you think they did or did not agree to make a change? What did you learn about what it takes to persuade people to make a change in their lifestyle and how can you more effectively convince people to make a change if you were to do this again?"

Yes, I was successful in convincing people to make a change in their lives. Some of our audiences have already made some changes to their light bulbs energy uses. However, they haven't changed all of the light bulbs into CFL. So, their commitment is to change all of their light bulbs into CFL light bulbs. I think they realized they could save a lot more money than if they continued using the old light bulbs. I learned, by pointing out to the audience they can save a lot more money by making changes of their homes. They seem to be more committed to actually putting these words to action, because currently the economy is not doing so well and money is their first priority. If I were to redo this project, I would point out that you could do just small changes, but makes big impact on your electricity bill. This will probably encourage them to complete these steps and help everyone save this planet.
