Some ways to reduce CO2 emmisions - Elaine Wang Entry #1
When you go to school, what type of transportation do you use? Normally you probably don't really think about it. Like when your driving on the car, I wouldn't be thinking about something like 'Oh wow! I'm driving to school, that's so bad for the environment!' But maybe you should. Did you know that private transportation is one of the main causes of CO2 emissions? Even if you carpool, it's still better. When you carpool you can save gas (money), you can go to wherever you want to go with less trouble for your parents, you can have company with you on the car so it's not so boring, and you can also contribute to saving the earth! That's killing four birds with one stone! =D However the best way is still probably walking/biking/skate boarding etc. These forms of transportation don't release any CO2 emissions what so ever! These types of transportation are especially efficient if you are going a fairly short distance. So next time you go to school, consider what type of transportation your using. It could really matter one day.
