Plastic and Paper Bags and Writing Instruments---Chung Min Kim Entry #1

There have been many things I learned in the process of doing the Natural Resources/ Global Issues Project Blog, but the three facts helped me see how bad the problem was. First fact was that four plastic bags can power a car to go one mile, so we could have not used the plastic bags and save up for a mile. Then if there are about 40 plastic bags stuffed into somewhere at your house, then you could have driven ten miles with the petroleum that was used to make the forty plastic bags. The second fact was that all of the petroleum used in the manufacturing company goes into the air, which contributes to the thinning of the ozone layer. Then, if you use a product which was required at least some petroleum, then you are making the ozone layer thinner and thinner.
