"Now that you are towards the end of this unit project and in the process of completion, what do you think is the single most important piece of information you have learned and one that you think is very important for everyone to know about?"Now that I am towards the end of this unit project and in the process of completion, I think that the single most important piece of information I have learned and one that I think is very important for everyone to know is how great recycling paper to make newspaper pencils or paper bags are. If you recycle a stack of newspapers two feet tall, you save a 20 feet pine tree. Recycling one run of Sunday New York Times saves seventy five thousand trees. People are using some old junk to make pencils and paper bags, which is very practical. One ton of paper can save seventeen trees, three yards of landfill , three hundred eighty gallons of gas, four thousand kilowatts for electricity, and seven thousand gallons of clean water used to make paper.
