Response to Grant's idea +My solution
I think that instead of getting iPads, although they are harder to type on, I think we should get netbooks. Although it pains me to say it, netbooks are a better option for three main reasons. The first is for the price factor. A netbook (including 3-G) is around $80, unlike the iPad, which is currently $500(+). Second, you can access CDs and CD-Roms on a netbook, whereas there is no CD drive on an iPad. Third, you can run Adobe flash on a netbook, whereas you currently can not on an iPad. For these three reasons, I feel getting netbooks instead of iPads is a better option for all of us.

Cool idea! I have a netbook, and it works pretty good, but you can't actually access things on the desktop. And you can't use things like Power Point or Word...
ReplyDeleteSai, you also have to pay $50 *each* for PP and word on an iPad!
ReplyDeleteBut you can't even get Word or PP on a netbook...as far as I know.
ReplyDeleteNetbook costs about $200-$700?!

ReplyDeleteI still think we should use a laptop. They are portable, easy to access, and have a lot of programs that the other "new" stuff don't.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it will save your parents money, because most kids have their own laptop. But, the other ideas were really good, too.
